Life Spark

This is the Tattoo I designed formyself and finally got done.

I was very very particular in what I wanted.

Location wise, I needed something symmetrical, where i couldn't see it easily, and where it was still easily concealed if need be.

The image itself features the pentacle which has always been an important symbol for me: in medieval culture it stood for the original 5 planets, in magic it stands for the elements of fire, water, air, earth and spirit, and in pagan belief it was meant for protection.

The nine points around it represent the Tirivahni Life Spark from Ul-Zaorith. They beleived that all matter in the world is composed of 9 elements: Planet, Sun, Moons, Light, Dark, Fire, Earth, Water, Air. The ratio and balance of the elements dictates your personality, aptitudes, weaknesses and virtues. These are my Elements.
