This is one in a series of pictures for my good friends Alche and Graph. This is their character Miriam (though if I'm not mistaken, she belongs to Graph).

I was told to have fun with the pose, so I decided to do an over the shoulder smile, to show off her lovely locks and because you don't often get the opportunity to draw someone from behind because most people put all their design into the front of a piece.

I'm extremely proud of this piece - especially:
~ the lace (because i'm lame at designing lace) which I have to tip my hat to Wen-M for the stylistic inspiration.
~ her calf muscles, I really feel i caught the angles of the relaxed slide of the ankle and perspective on the stance.
~ Her shoes, because i always have a hard time getting shoes to look right at that angle
~ Her ruffles, especially on her skirt, where i felt i managed to execute a heavy drape fabric - i'm thinking good quality taffeta, cotton velvet or crinalin (sp?)??
~ Her body type. She's got a body type a lot like mine, and I have a hard time drawing curvy girls without them looking plump.
