I'm really sorry about the delay on my website... I still haven't heard from the programmer, so my update hasn't gone live yet.

Aaaanyways. Today's page. Yyyup.
Because there has been some confusion about it, (and evidently my depiction on this page fails derp), I'm reposting my response to a few people's questions over whether Bullet can talk:
Ah, I was really concerned that the dialogue on this page would be misunderstood...

Bullet can't talk. She's a normal, mundane snake. She's attentive to him here, woken up from her digesting by Gun's agitation, but she's not talking.

I had hoped that the subtext on this page would help clarify, but I guess I was too subtle with it D: I did address it on the livestream because I had a couple people question it. I tried to lengthen the speech tags to point directly to Gun('s feet) and there's the preceding panel where the dialogue bubble is directly pointed at him, but I guess the introduction of Bullet in his bunk is too confusing. Sorry!

In this comic's storytelling style, the dotted lines on speech bubbles are indicative of someone speaking another language. In this case, Gun is talking to himself in Uvatsperan. He's the only one on the ship that speaks it; so it's a safe language for him to mutter aloud in, without fear of being understood.

Gun doesn't have any internal monologue stuff in his narration style at all, so the only glimpses we get into what he thinks/feels about something is what he says aloud. He is berating himself because he's regretting getting involved in Shrapnel's tangled way of doing things.

As for Çigâny, this is Gun's surname. Despite being fathered by Blackbeard, his mother did not bestow on her son Blackbeard's last name, Leonez, because at the time of birthing him, she didn't know the pirate's true name. Instead she gave him her own maiden name, the Uvatsperan name Çigâny.

All of this is stuff in my head that will probably never get officially told in story, so it's totally safe to explain without spoiling anything! XD

I'm going to be in Seattle WA USA on Saturday the 1st of September, and I have nothing to do!

I'm wondering if there are any readers in the Seattle area who would like to come have tea or lunch with me? I'll bring some sketching materials, the original hard copy of the upcoming pages and possibly show up in Arrow cosplay....
